Hello everyone

I am new to this software and I am still learning the software. I want to simulate the thermal and electrical requirements for a small solar-powered refrigerator cum Cold Storage prototype, which will be using battery banks as the power backup along with Ice thermal storage as the power backup. I have two queries:-
1. Is this kind of problem feasible to be designed in this software?
2. If Yes, then how to design the circuit from scratch. I have all the data available to individual components, I just don't know how to combine them and form a circuit.

Also, the refrigerator uses a compressor, while this software has a pump module. So, can I use a pump in place of the compressor?

Regards

Tushar

Dear Tushar,

yes it is possible to design such a system from the scratch. I would recommend to have a look in the cooling templates there is a good example.

best regards,

Lars

There is one problem in the designing. The template available for the Ice Storage is using heat exchange with heat pump and has a functioning very different than what I want to use. I just need a simple Ice storage which can exchange heat with the ambient air and deliver cold air at the outlet. Is such kind of modification possible in Polysun? Also, there is no provision for drawing electrical lines in Polysun. I get confused how the electricity is being supplied to various parts.
